Anyways, we’re three days into the new year and I haven’t accidentally written ‘2024’ instead of ‘2025’ once. I’m very, very proud of myself. A new year means it’s time for predictions. With the help of my trusty crystal ball, I’ve cooked up 10 MLS predictions for 2025, ranging from expansion outlook to breakout stars to big-money moves.

Let’s get to it.

One MLS player will move for at least $20 million

…and that player will either be Gabriel Pec or Cucho Hernandez. They’re in the right age profile for a transfer, they’re both elite attackers in MLS, and they’ve both got national team futures to look out for.
