You know what, never mind. You have a right to be angry if I predict something you don’t like. In MLS, where margins are kept purposely small by the league’s intricate roster rules, you can make real arguments as to why basically every team should be expected to finish towards the top of the table. Your arguments, then, will be just as legitimate as mine.
This year, maybe more than in past years, it seems like everything is in play. Will Inter Miami absolutely dominate? Maybe! Will they finish near the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff field? Maybe! Will anybody outside of Seattle be good in the West? Maybe! Will the big-money striker signings in each conference hit? Maybe!
With the 2024 MLS season kicking off later today, I’m taking those ‘maybes’ and turning them into ‘definitelys’ with my 24 predictions for the 2024 MLS season.
