Where we left off last year

2024 season: 51 points, 4th in the Eastern Conference

Being an Indy fan wasn't for the faint of heart last season.

The Eleven made a run to the U.S. Open Cup semifinals in Sean McAuley's first season at the helm and ultimately hosted a playoff match for the first time since 2019, but the highs were matched by deep lows. For one, the club's plans for a permanent downtown stadium were scuttled thanks to a still-mysterious MLS bid. Moreover, the summer hot streak that powered the Open run dissipated as fall hit, and Indy ultimately crashed out in the first round of the postseason.

Still, McAuley found his core late-on, with midseason additions like Maalique Foster, Ben Ofeimu, and academy signee Logan Neidlinger helping to forge a marauding, physical style. The clarity of vision was enough for Indy to (mostly) run it back in 2025.
