The roster for the U.S. men’s national team’s Concacaf Nations League semifinal against Panama on March 20th and either final or third place game against Mexico or Canada on March 23rd was released on Tuesday.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino’s 23-player squad features both Gio Reyna and Tyler Adams, who will join the U.S. for the first time under their Argentine manager. Due to injuries, several other key USMNT players won’t cross the Atlantic during this international window. Sergino Dest, though he’s recently returned from his ACL injury to play for PSV, Ricardo Pepi, Folarin Balogun, and Malik Tillman aren’t in the squad. Brenden Aaronson, though healthy, was left off.
Notably, several rising MLS players made their way into Pochettino’s squad, including Diego Luna, Patrick Agyemang, and Brian White.
