The year is 2025. Bradley Carnell’s Philadelphia Union squad is collecting wins left and right, benefitting from massive mistakes from the opposition, and scoring goals at a wildly efficient rate. Across their first two games of this new season, the Union scored on their first six shots on target — all four shots on frame managed to sneak past Pedro Gallese on opening weekend and they jumped out to a 2-0 lead in an eventual 4-1 win on Saturday against FC Cincinnati with their first two shots on target hitting the back of Roman Celentano’s net.
