When you’re five weeks into a season, it’s the perfect time to overreact. There’s enough data to make genuine conclusions about teams from across the USL Championship, but the sample size is small enough for any hot take to feel risky.

Birmingham Legion

The Legion midfield is broken.

Danny Trejo and Tyler Pasher have combined to play about 80 minutes in 2025. Phanuel Kavita and AJ Paterson have missed matches at the back. Birmingham haven’t been good so far, but they’ve got excuses up front and in their back four.
